I'm Ken. A Senior Software Engineer Making the Web a Better Place.
I am a self-motivated web dev with over eight years of professional experience in coding. I am passionate about building excellent websites and web applications that improve the lives of those around me. My favorite stacks right now are ReactJS, Vue.js and AngularJS on the frontend, while Laravel and Django on the backend. I am also obsessed with making the web look pretty with CSS Preprocessors, specifically SASS. I usually have some other side projects on the go as well.
When I’m not coding, I enjoy watching online courses and programming tutorials to improve my skills. I watch or listen to affirmation videos on YouTube or podcasts on Spotify and sometimes I monitored my balance on my stock and mutual funds portfolio to get myself always motivated. Also, I read books about programming, finance, and investments. I spend my time coding and experimenting on my other projects as a hobby and publish them on github.com/kenvilar. I’m just a guy who is continuously planning for my career, financial freedom and my future.

Deliver and Maintenance
Marks the official launch of the site. Involves testing things such as the complete functionality of other scripts and optimizing the website for the search engines. It also includes regular site backups, technology upgrades, additional features, etc.

My PortfolioAbout Me
Hello! I’m Ken Vilar. I’ve Been Building Websites for 8+ Years as a Full-Time Dev.
I started basic freelancing tasks in the year 2013. I applied as a full-time computer programming lecturer for six months while doing my undergraduate thesis on mid-2014 until I achieved my college degree in October 2014, and soon after it, I started my profession as a full-time Web Developer.
Now, I’m working as a home-based full-stack web dev from with experiences with both front-end and back-end development, which allows me to have full scope in mind when working on a project. I have also experienced with all stages of the development cycle for dynamic web projects.
WordPress, Laravel, Vue.js, and AngularJS are the main tricks up my sleeve while Django and Ionic frameworks are on the making.
I also have worked using MySQL, PostgreSQL, RESTful API, Bootstrap, Git, Docker, and SASS.
Thrilled to get my hands dirty when it comes to cloud-related development especially in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and server administration.
